The crowd stood beneath a sea of multi-coloured banners in the square and heard speeches from prominent anti-war campaigners, including veteran MP Tam Dalyell. CND vice-president Bruce Kent led the crowd in a chant of Justice for Palestine and criticised Israel's military policies.  11/09/04:  The UK and US governments will come under attack over the conflict in Iraq when anti-nuclear campaigners will warn that the cycle of violence has escalated. The Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) will hold its annual conference in London, attracting peace campaigners from across the country on the third anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks on New York and Washington.
