Burlesque dancer Candy Barr, went behind bars after turning herself in to Bexar County Sheriff near noon, Thursday, Dec. 3, 1959, San Antonio, Texas. Under a 15-year sentence assessed in Dallas for possession of Marijuana, the stripper has exhausted all appeals. A Dallas deputy escorted Candy to the women's prison at Goree.

Barr, who was born Juanita Dale Slusher on July 6, 1935, in Edna, Texas, was associated with Dallas nightclub owner Jack Ruby, who was accused of gunning down Lee Harvey Oswald, the man suspected of assassinating President Kennedy.
