In 1977 Ray Stevenson photographed Sid Vicious, of the Sex Pistols, on stage at London’s Scala cinema.*
Ray Stevenson got close to the Sex Pistols. His brother was Nils Stevenson, the band’s road manager who managed Siouxsie and the Banshees.
When Siouxsie and the Banshees performed their first gig at the 100 club, London, in 1976, Sid gamely played drums.
The band seems to have enjoyed a great rapport with children. If you’ve not seen it, the video of the band’s Christmas Party is a must.
